First milestone of 75 Ultra Light Simulators delivered to NS

CORYS is delighted to have delivered the first of three sets of eight Ultra Light Simulators (ULS) to the NS training center in Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

This huge roll out project comprises 75 ULS with 4 sets installed at NS training centers and 43 stand-alone ULS spread across the country.

These ULS will complement the existing NS fleet of 2 CORYS full-scope motion and 24 desks simulators, that have been in operation for over 15 years.

More than 250 scenarios can be shared between the NS simulator fleet and the 75 ULS to help NS to meet their objective of training 3600 drivers in ETCS before 2031.

André Horn, who presented the objectives of this project at CORYS SimTech conference last October, said :

“An important milestone in the rollout of ERTMS at NS. By supplying 24 Ultra Light Simulators to the NS Learning Center, CORYS makes the professionalisation of our drivers possible.”
