CBG (Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée), the largest bauxite producing company in Guinea and one of the largest in the world has placed an order with CORYS for three GM SD 40-3 simulators.
CORYS will supply 1 full cab replica simulator with a motion seat and 2 desk simulators, with the line from the port of Kamsar to the Sangarédi mine in western Guinea, to be used for driver training and certification.
A key element of the supply will be the simulation of the Wabtec Interoperable Electronic Train Management System (I-ETMS) that is a safety-critical overlay system that provides means to enforce movement authorities, speed restrictions, work zones and switch positioning to help reduce the potential for train accidents. CORYS has been developing, updating and testing I-ETMS releases in collaboration with Wabtec for over 10 years.
CORYS looks forward to working with the CBG and integrating our industry leading freight driver training technology in their operational training.
