CBTC simulation for NYCT

Siemens, NYCT, and SYSTRA spent a week at CORYS facilities in Jacksonville for the factory acceptance tests of the CBTC Train Operator Training Simulator System (CTOSS) aimed to become the future of NYCT CBTC training.

The team discovered and witnessed 2 Instructor Stations/SPS and 6 student workstations simulating the NYCT conventional signaling, the SIEMENS I2S CBTC, the R160 train, the first 3 miles of the Queens Boulevard Line, and 38 CBTC training scenarios. Two additional CTOSS will be delivered at the end of the summer for a total of 18 simulators and 6 instructor workstations, as well as 38 additional scenarios and the entire QBL line that connects Manhattan to the Queens.
