CORYS is currently upgrading the 12 replica train simulators equipped with motion system, which were delivered to Indian Railways between 2005 and 2006.
Based on this renovation, CORYS will supply to GE Diesel Locomotive Pvt. Ltd. a new train driving replica simulator, simulating the new locomotives that GE is currently developing for Indian Railways. The train driving simulator will be installed at the Roza Shed maintenance centre in the state of Uttar Pradesh in early 2018.
In addition, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded CORYS the contract to refurbish its two metro replica simulators. These simulators provided by CORYS between 2007 and 2009 will be modernized to prevent against the inherent obsolescence of PC technology.
Michael Schwerdtfeger, CORYS Business Development Vice President, talking about these two new contracts, said: “The acquisition of these contracts in India further consolidates our position in this high-potential Indian market with growing needs for both Indian railways and metro operators.”
