The Factory Acceptance Test following the update of the simulators of Metro North Railroad, the commuter train operator in New York City, was successfully completed remotely from the premises of CORYS Inc. in Jacksonville Florida.
The virtual test involved upgrading the Positive Train Control (PTC) for the Brookville BL20 diesel locomotive simulator and the Bombardier Shoreliner IV Cab Car simulator at Grand Central Station in New York City.
Jody Ryan, Chief Commercial Officer of CORYS Inc. said: “With the coronavirus epidemic it is important to keep the projects on-schedule and achieve our milestones. Through Facetime, we connected with the client in New York and performed the tests under his direction while he observed and commented. So far, this method seems to be working well, which is a good thing, as we will probably have several more Factory Acceptance Tests to complete before travel restrictions are relaxed.”
