The ConnexiTY multi-partner R&D project on digital innovation in the nuclear industry entered its second year at the end of November at a strategic committee meeting.
CORYS participated alongside the 13 other members of the consortium (Ansys, Assystem, Atos Wordgrid, Siemens, EDF, Framatome, TechnicAtome, Spie Nucléaire, Cegelec, Som-Ortec, Cyclife DS, PrimaFrance and BOOST) and will be involved in subjects for which the contribution of simulation is essential: assistance in operating procedures validation, driving assistance with monitoring compliance with operating rules, operator self-training, early prototyping of modifications that impact on control room operation.
In parallel, CORYS is involved in a second R&D project structuring the competitiveness of the nuclear industry, the digital reactor. Its objective: to design a digital twin of nuclear reactors covering design, operation and decommissioning.
